The Little Fighters Trust is proud to give a donation to the Taranaki Health Foundation to enable an additional television and six media players for the TSB Children and Young People ward at Taranaki Base Hospital.
The Trust, which was established to provide support and assistance to local families who are suffering as a result of a life threatening illness and to provide resources for the Taranaki community. Trust chairman, Darrin West describes the impact of the donation, “This additional television in the playroom and media players for children to use, will go a long way to helping local children relax and recover during their time in hospital. These vital extras make the difference and help children keep their minds off of any stress during illness. We are proud to be connected with the amazing staff of TSB Children and Young People ward, and the Taranaki Heath Foundation.”
Taranaki Health Foundation executive officer Rachel Church is proud to accept the donation on behalf of the Foundation. “We are honoured to work with the Little Fighters Trust and impressed with the good work that they do for the Taranaki community. This generous donation will directly impact the children on the ward and I am sure to create a few smiles. We hope this is just the beginning of our relationship with the Trust.”
“The Taranaki Health Foundation is currently fundraising to enable the best possible healthcare throughout the Taranaki region. This donation will be put to good use towards this goal supporting the “Improve Your Stay” campaign within the redeveloped Taranaki Base Hospital.”
